Job Description: We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, basic electrical skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, with a primary focus on floor scrubbers, concrete grinders, and sweepers. Additionally, you will clean and sanitize equipment following repairs, conduct routine inspections, and collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment, including floor scrubbers, concrete grinders, and sweepers.
  2. Clean and sanitize equipment following repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
  3. Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in changing oil and filters on equipment.
  5. Uphold high standards of safety and personal appearance in line with company policies.
  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and share knowledge.
  7. Punctuality is crucial, and the ability to meet deadlines is a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

  1. Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical skills.
  2. Possess a basic set of tools for equipment maintenance tasks.
  3. Ability to change oil and filters on various types of equipment.
  4. Punctual, with the ability to take on multiple tasks and assist around the shop.
  5. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
  6. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. consistently.
  7. Experience working with battery or propane motors, similar to forklift motors, is preferred.
