Job Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports of client accounts• Review and post journal entries• Review financial statements, collaborating with the bookkeeping and accounting departments• Tie down balance sheet and profit & loss statement• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies• Complete a diagnostic checklist of issues• Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team• Ensure regulatory compliance• Maintain confidentiality of financial data
Qualifications
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports of client accounts• Review and post journal entries• Review financial statements, collaborating with the bookkeeping and accounting departments• Tie down balance sheet and profit & loss statement• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies• Complete a diagnostic checklist of issues• Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team• Ensure regulatory compliance• Maintain confidentiality of financial dataRequirements and Qualifications• Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred• Minimum two years’ experience with financial accounting and bookkeeping required• Must be able to work independently, be a problem solver and show desire to grow as a professional• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping and accounting procedures• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices• Tax preparation experience a plus• Familiarity with the US GAAP and reporting standards• Excellent analytical and communication skills• Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Teams, QuickBooks Online, Lacerte software preferred• Additional certification (e.g. CPA, QuickBooks) is a plus• Ability to work under pressure and meet external and internal deadlines• Ability to handle and protect confidential client information
