Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Shop Manager to oversee our welding operations and lead our team of talented welders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TIG and Stainless Steel welding techniques, fabrication processes, and shop management. As the Welding Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the welding shop, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the welding shop, including workflow scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
• Supervise and lead a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute welding projects according to specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and control costs to optimize efficiency and profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in welding operations, with a strong understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience with Stainless Steel TIG welding.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to interpret project requirements accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in welding operations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
