Saw Operator

A local company is seeking a skilled Saw Operator for their 2nd shift operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints. Experience operating a granite saw in a production environment for at least 6 months is required.

Position Details:

• Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
• Schedule:1:30 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday through Thursday (4, 10-hour days)
• Location: Waite Park, MN

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate general machining equipment including saws, grinders, lathes, drills, mills, and polishing rounds.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet print requirements and quality standards.
• Adjust machine controls according to product specifications and material properties.
• Maneuver large pieces of granite using various tools and equipment.
• Follow processing schedules and production orders to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Position Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and their maintenance.
• Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and/or experience with saw equipment is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of experience with saw machines (Preferred)
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing (Preferred)
• Consistent employment for one year within the last two years.
• Ability to work accurately and thoroughly.
• Strong spatial visualization skills.
