                                            Home Attendant

                          Full-time    7:30 am- 4:00 pm  Monday - Friday

 

The Home Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping, laundry, grocery and/or personal shopping duties for disabled, chronically ill or cognitively impaired clients who are sixty years of age or older. The Home Attendant may occasionally transport clients to and from medical appointments and may also provide services to clients who have been recently released from a medical or care facility and have a short-term need for services and perform other duties as required or assigned. 

 

The Home Attendant performs varying duties for clients in their residence based upon the specific needs of the clients. The nature of the work performed requires the compassion, skill, patience and ability to adapt to varying needs of clients and interact with clients while observing the physical and mental condition of the client through verbal and non-verbal cues and body language. The Home Attendant regularly interacts with and must maintain professional and effective working relationships with their clients, the client’s family members and the professionals involved in the client’s care and personal matters and affairs.
