We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to work for our clients in Northeast Calgary as Concrete Laborers. Concrete Labourers will assist with various tasks related to concrete construction, including mixing, pouring, finishing, and repairing concrete structures. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setup and preparation of work sites for concrete pouring, including laying out forms, placing reinforcement materials, and ensuring proper drainage.
• Mix concrete according to specifications using hand tools, power mixers, or other equipment.
• Pour and spread concrete using shovels, rakes, and trowels to achieve desired thickness and consistency.
• Smooth and finish concrete surfaces using floats, trowels, and other finishing tools to create a uniform appearance.
• Install and finish decorative concrete elements, such as stamped patterns or exposed aggregates, as required.
• Assist with the installation of concrete reinforcement, such as rebar or wire mesh, to enhance structural integrity.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in concrete construction or a related field preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions closely.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites required.
