Position Overview: As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates and project timelines. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are well-planned and executed within budgetary constraints, while meeting quality standards and client expectations. You will collaborate closely with our project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive estimates and proposals that align with project requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
• Conduct on-site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
• Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.) to prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Research and evaluate material and labor costs to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop value engineering solutions that optimize cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for submission to clients.
• Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and post-bid activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and project data for reference and analysis.
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and regulatory requirements to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the [specify sector, e.g., residential, commercial, industrial] construction industry of at least 2 years.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
• Advanced proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
