Production Line Lead

Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Production Line Lead to join our team. As a Production Line Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing the operation of the production line, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that production targets and quality standards are met. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Line Operation: Oversee the operation of the production line, including monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

2. Team Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to production line operators, ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities and are performing their tasks effectively. Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

3. Workflow Coordination: Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to production line operators to optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet production targets.

4. Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.

5. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards promptly. Provide training on safe work practices as needed.

6. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and address equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production output, downtime, and quality metrics. Generate reports on key performance indicators and present findings to management to drive process improvements.

8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains on the production line. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline workflows and optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment and processes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and production management software.
