A client in McKinney, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant!

 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5PM

 

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our client's healthcare team, supporting daily clinical operations and working closely with the surgeon to deliver superior patient care. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and quality of services in the medical practice.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

    • Escort patients to examination rooms, gather medical histories, and help document vital information.
    • Prepare patients for examinations, providing clear explanations to ensure they are comfortable.
    • Support the doctor, ensuring a sterile environment is maintained.
  • Clinical Support:

    • Conduct basic clinical tasks such as measuring patient height and weight and updating medical records.
    • Keep examination and treatment rooms organized and clean, ready for patients and procedures.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Accurately update and maintain patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
    • Ensure patient files are up to date, confidential, and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
    • Manage appointment scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care under the direction of the surgeon.
    • Work closely with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and office operations.
  • Medical Equipment and Supplies:

    • Monitor and maintain medical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Manage inventory and restock medical supplies, adhering to established protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a medical office or clinic, particularly in surgical settings, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, basic clinical practices, and sterile procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
