About the Role - As an Electrical Assembler, attention to detail is key in ensuring the precise fitting, assembly, and wiring of components. Following blueprints, manuals, and engineering memos diligently ensures that every step aligns with the intended design and functionality. By upholding high standards, you contribute to the creation of premium quality, purpose-built electrical panels, essential for various applications and industries. Your role is crucial in the production process, as the reliability and efficiency of these panels often depend on the accuracy of your work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities –

As an Electrical Assembler, your tasks are critical in ensuring the seamless assembly of electrical panels. Here's a breakdown of how you can fulfill each requirement:

Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications: Carefully study the provided drawings and specifications to understand the layout and requirements of the electrical panels.

Lay out components and wire electrical panels as per schematics: Arrange the components according to the provided schematics, ensuring precise placement and wiring to match the design specifications.

Follow all applicable safety procedures and practice safe work habits: Adhere strictly to safety protocols to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. This includes wearing appropriate protective gear and always following established safety guidelines.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area: Keep your workspace tidy and organized to minimize clutter and potential hazards. A clean environment enhances efficiency and safety in the assembly process.

Identify non-conforming components: Be vigilant in identifying any components that deviate from the specified standards or quality requirements. Promptly report any non-conformities to appropriate personnel for resolution.

Initiate continuous improvement activities in own area and support continuous improvement activities of all employees: Actively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in your work area. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process optimization.

Perform other job activities as required: Be flexible and ready to undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as needed to support the overall objectives of the assembly process.

By diligently executing these tasks, you contribute to the production of high-quality electrical panels while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

 

Skills and Qualifications –

·         Minimum High School Diploma

·         Relevant College diploma/certificate or Skill Trade preferred.

·         Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

·         Previous experience with wiring and electrical panel building an asset.

·         Proven mechanical aptitude.

·         1 to 2 years relevant manufacturing experience preferred.

·         Mechanically inclined and familiar with hand tools

·         Ability to communicate and interact effectively

·         Ability to work equally well as part of an assembly team or individually.

·         Organized with attention to detail

·         Process focused with a continuous improvement mindset.

·         Works collaboratively across the business for maximum impact
