We are seeking an experienced Flux Core Wire feed Welder to join a family-owned company located in Eau Claire, WI. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in flux core wire feed welding to produce high-quality welds according to specified standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform flux core wire feed welding tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings and adjusting parameters.
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting as necessary.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience as a flux core wire feed welder, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in flux core wire feed welding techniques and equipment operation.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and metallurgy.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime.
