Job Description:                                 Equipment Mechanic  Car Lift Technician

 

As a Hydraulic Car Lift Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic car lifts used in automotive repair shops, garages, and car dealerships. You will ensure that these lifts are installed safely and function efficiently to support the operations of the automotive facility.

The role of a Hydraulic Car Lift Technician requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety to ensure the reliable operation of hydraulic car lifts in automotive facilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

Safely install hydraulic car lifts according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Conduct site assessments to determine the optimal placement and configuration of hydraulic lifts.

Assemble lift components, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and lifting arms.

Test installed lifts to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.

 

Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, inspection of hydraulic components, and adjustments to ensure lift performance.

Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic lift malfunctions, such as leaks, electrical issues, or mechanical failures.

Repair or replace damaged or worn lift components, including hydraulic hoses, seals, valves, and motors.

Conduct thorough inspections of lifts to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.

 

Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with hydraulic systems and heavy equipment.

Ensure that hydraulic car lifts meet all relevant safety standards and certifications.

Provide training and guidance to automotive technicians on safe operating procedures for using hydraulic lifts.

Maintain accurate records of lift installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.

 

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their lift installation needs and address any concerns or questions.

Provide recommendations for lift selection based on customer requirements and facility constraints.

Deliver high-quality service and support to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

 

Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License

Clean Driving Record -You will drive a company vehicle.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in hydraulic systems, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic equipment, preferably hydraulic car lifts.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, and fluid dynamics.

Familiarity with electrical systems and controls used in hydraulic lifts.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.

 

Location:  Fort Myers

Position Type: Full-Time Temp to Perm

Pay:  $25.00 to start with room for growth

Schedule   8am-5pm
