The Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals is partnering with an accounting firm on the southside of Indianapolis to recruit a Hybrid Senior Auditor.

 

Senior Auditor Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing the financial statements of a client’s business, and performing other duties as assigned. The Senior Auditor will also assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements for clients.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate internal audit department
• Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in risk management methodologies and techniques
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial acumen
• Familiarity with technical accounting standards (GAAP)
• Experience with regulatory reporting and financial analysis
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Travel

 

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting financial and operational audits, assessing internal controls, and providing recommendations for process improvements
• Perform financial and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Develop audit programs and testing procedures to ensure thorough coverage of audit objectives
• Identify areas of risk and recommend solutions to mitigate potential issues
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, general ledger accounts, and other relevant financial data
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance internal controls
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
• Assist in training and mentoring junior auditors

 

Pay/Benefits:
