Installer Fabricator

Located in Walker, MI

Salary: $18-$23/hr

Installer Job Summary:

A growing custom automation & machine building company is seeking to build their fabrication team with assemblers who are seeking to build their skills and even learn to weld. The company offers three weeks of paid time off in the first year and has excellent benefits.

 

Installer Requirements:

• Cutting (band and chop saws), drilling, tapping metal to build custom machinery
• Reading blueprints to assemble product
• Drive company vehicle for transportation of materials to installation site
• Painting in-shop of machinery components using spray equipment
• Drive forklift to move parts within shop
• Travel and supervise on-site contractors to complete installation of equipment at client site
• MIG & TIG welding structural mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel (45-50% duties, optional)

Schedule: 1st shift, 7am–3:30pm, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday overtime

Pay: $18-$23/hr based on experience

 

Installer Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in shop setting doing fabrication work (drilling, tapping, cutting) preferred
• Basic understanding of blueprints
• Accurate ability to measure using standard tape measure to the 32nd of an inch
• Understanding of how to achieve square/level when building equipment
• Previous experience with welding/fabrication of conveyors is a plus
• Must be willing to travel for installations (short-term, mostly regional)
