Express Employment has a great opening for a 2^nd Shift Quality Technician in the Yorktown area!

This is a long-term, full time 2^nd shift opening for someone looking to work for an established company. 

2^nd Shift hours are from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Friday – occasional overtime may be required based on company needs. 

Job Duties & Requirements:

• Operate standard equipment in test and process environment.
• Inspect product for quality dimensions using various measurement devices including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Follow work instructions and procedures to perform assignments with minimum supervision.
• Performs the duties of a Quality Auditor and supports the similar efforts of others.
• Provide feedback of quality problems, test results and other related information
• Ensure all gages, tools, fixtures, and systems are in good working condition. Handle CMM machine with care to avoid damage.
• Maintain and record accurate, detailed data for the files and relevant documentation as required.

Training, Knowledge, and Experience:

• 2-3 years of work-related experience preferred.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Metrology laboratory and inspection experience preferred.
• This position is not typically occupied by an academically trained or registered engineer.
• Documented training would be preferred.

Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Stand, walk, reach, and carry throughout shift.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
