Location: Somonauk, IL

Shift Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
(OVERTIME OFFERED ON VOLUNTARY BASIS - NON-MANDATORY)

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for an entry-level Grinder Operator to join a hardworking team! Our client prides itself on providing quality service to their customers. As a Grinder Operator, you will play a crucial part in the production and success of a local casting supplier.

Responsibilities:

• Grind and smooth aluminum parts to correspond with sample.
• Remove flash and fins from castings.
• Operate Bandsaw, Grinder Machine, Belt-Sander, and Bench.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Cut excess aluminum off of castings.
• Follow directions as given by supervisor.
• Ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
• Wear PPE at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Saw operation experience preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, turn, twist, and stoop continuously.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
