POSITION SUMMARY

Express Employment is recruiting for Forklift Operators. This position is responsible for handling, moving, packing, and storing materials within warehouse, yard, and production areas. Pulling material and/or supplies from inventory or production cells to deliver to areas as needed. Additionally, the position will be responsible for general warehouse upkeep and inspecting forklift daily.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
Operates trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items using levers and controls.
Conduct daily inspections of forklift and communicate findings to supervisor.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transportation vehicles.
Fasten attachments to forklift using pins to tow or move materials.
Identify material is the correct item, quantity, and quality against warehouse paperwork.
Correctly label material with part number, work order number, or job name as needed.
Coordinate with Warehouse or Production employees in pulling material to be picked and staged.
Routinely move materials between designated stocking locations, Receiving, staging areas, and production lines as needed.
Assist as needed in pulling, packing, and loading items for final shipment.
Sit-down and stand-up forklift operation.

SUPPORTING DUTIES

Assist in Receiving, Shipping, and Production as required.
Comply with company policy and all state and local regulations.
Adheres to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Attends and actively participates in required meetings.
