Job Description

Come work for a growing non-profit organization founded in 2008 which provides supported living services to developmentally disabled adults. We are currently seeking a full-time executive director who has strong leadership and management skills, to support our mission and commitment to our clients and employees. The new executive director will have overall responsibility for the administrative functions of the organization and management of operations.

This position will report directly to the board of directors. Strong skills including a proactive management approach, excellent communication skills, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion are required. The successful candidate will work closely with the board of directors to meet the ongoing needs of the organization and fulfill the long-term vision and goals of the organization for the future.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and management including leading our team of committed employees by fostering a positive, inclusive, task oriented, and healthy work environment.
  • Develop a strong relationship with our clients and their support networks to assure the organization''s commitment to its mission.
  • Participate in strategic planning with the Board and be responsible for implementing future goals of the organization.
  • Manage the operational budget and be competent in financial reporting and review.
  • Become familiar with and provide oversight for bookkeeping, purchasing, payroll and financial management required to operate the business.
  • Develop or possess grant writing skills to secure financial support for the future. Cultivate and maintain relationships with agencies, community stakeholders and others.
  • Be an advocate and role model for our organization with a strong commitment to the mission, our clients, and our employees for the future.

 Qualifications

  • 8 years minimum experience, including management and employee supervision in the non-profit and or developmental disabilities field.
  • A 4-year bachelor''s degree in a related field of study is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office including accounting and communication software.
  • Be able to work with multiple platforms used to monitor client needs, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Be competent at presenting, reporting, and working with a board of directors.
  • Include a 5-year record of experience.

Compensation

Salary range:

$60,000 - 75,000 dependent on qualifications and experience.
