Weekend Dispatch

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $18.50

Our client in Tualatin wants to add a Dispatcher to their team.  This person will coordinate driver routes, communicate with drivers and the customer to ensure on-time deliveries, and answer questions. This position has busy times, there are times where you will be busy for an hour and then have a hour of down time. This is not a fast paced position, we are open to training an individual who has good computers skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service focused!

This is an evaluation to full-time hire position.

Duties:

• Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating driver activities.
• Assign drivers their route.
• Monitors email for transfer requests and responds accordingly.
• Assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks with a pallet jack when needed.
• Ensure drivers are in presentable uniforms and the required equipment is available to complete their tasks.
• Respond to and resolve customer and driver issues and assist in the resolution.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

• Dispatching experience is a plus, not required
• Strong customer service skills, written and verbal.
• Goal oriented
• Flexible
• Detail oriented
• Impartial decision maker and team player.
• Takes initiative and is a problem solver.
• Possess a Valid Driver’s License.

Pay: $18.50/hr.

Schedule: Friday-Monday 6 pm-6:30 am *GRAVEYARD*
