Assembly Technician – East Baton Rouge Parish

Full Time – Evaluation Hire

$15/Hr + DOE

Monday – Friday, 7am- 4pm

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for Assembly Technician for a Baton Rouge mechanical seal company that provides repair services on all types of seals.  They manufacture and repair sealing pumps, mixers, compressors, centrifuges, and other pieces of rotating equipment.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Assembly Technician :  

• Assemble, and maintain seals and the support systems for the seals.
• Obtain Basic parts information from CAD drawings and follow the 10-step procedure for assembling seals and testing
• Follow directions from job ticket and work order information
• Other tasks as assigned by manage
• Verify that he job ticket must be signed off on before proceeding to the inspection area.
• Work with other departments when issues occur.
• Printing and verifying shipping documents for accuracy against job tickets and notes.
• Packaging items for shipment or for delivery by placing required labels on boxes.
• Verifying all shipping instructions in the UPS system.
• When time permits, cross train in other departments such as repair and lapping to help if needed.
• Train on the callout procedures to be included in the callout schedule when fully trained.

Skills and Experience REQUIRED:

• Must be able to work all shifts including over time and weekends
• Proficient with using hand and power tools
• Must have attention to detail
• Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Organization
