A client in the McKinney, TX area is seeking Operation Team Members for their Pet Crematory.

 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00AM-4:30PM

Pay: $19/hr

 

The Operations Team Member is tasked with a variety of responsibilities encompassing the operation of the retort, creation and packaging of paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, as well as the processing and packaging of cremated remains. This role operates within a tight-knit team situated in a care center. You will also be tasked with being a driver as needed, to retrieve the deceased pets and bring them back to the facility.

 

Duties:

  • Execute daily tasks including operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, quality control, and processing and packaging cremated remains, as required.
  • Keep records on vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Drive a company vehicle following a designated daily route to collect deceased pets from local veterinary clinics and transport them to the care center.
  • Uphold daily cremation goals, emphasizing compassion and excellence in the production of cremains.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, making necessary adjustments, and submitting maintenance requests.
  • Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Maintain and clean equipment used in cremation procedures, including machines for grinding bones into powder.
  • Adhere to safety procedures to ensure protection against exposure to hazardous materials or dust particles.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver License and clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly engage in bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting, repetitive motion, hand/wrist/finger motion.
  • Regularly lift/move items weighing 100+ lbs.
  • Regularly exposed to elevated noise levels.
  • Regularly exposed to elevated heat levels.
  • Regularly handle deceased pets.
