Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Salary Range: $15-$17 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Job Description:

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies. Ensure accuracy in the received quantities and quality of products.
• Shipping: Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages appropriately, and arranging for transportation with designated carriers. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including quantities received or shipped, serial numbers, and other relevant information. Update inventory systems as needed to reflect current stock levels.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and compliance with company standards before shipment or storage. Report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Organization and Maintenance: Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe. Ensure that all equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is properly maintained and operated according to safety guidelines.
• Communication: Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and resolution of any issues that may arise.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of shipping and receiving activities, including invoices, packing slips, and shipping manifests. Assist with record-keeping and data entry tasks as needed.
