Job Overview: 

Express is seeking an assembly/production tech responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for products. You will check for defects, assemble products, monitor manufacturing equipment, and closely follow safety procedures. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production, assembly, and disassembly of automotive hybrid vehicle batteries
•  Lift heavy material repeatedly throughout the day
•  Stack and organize product
•  Assist in production of small scale electronic parts and cards with integrated circuits and soldering/de-soldering same
•  Maintain meticulous records of testing results of HEV Battery discharge/charge processes
•  Maintain general cleanliness and safety of the production facility
• Work in full compliance of federal, state, and local law in regards to HAZMAT and heavy equipment operation

Requirements:

• Good understanding of how production equipment works. Comfortable using basic hand tools
•  Ability to detect potential problems with machinery.
•  Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
  and decimals.
•  Basic computer skills
•  Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
•  Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat,
  bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.
•  The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions.
• May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
•  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
