Quality Technician

This is a DIRECT Hire Quality Technician opportunity for a Indianapolis-South Custom Machine Shop that has been in business for more than 70 years. They make custom parts for the automotive, medical devices, aerospace, electronic industry and more.

• The Quality assurance (QA) technicians ensure company and customer quality standards are being met. They conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T symbols to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Document inspection results, including measurements, observations, and non-conformances, accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency

Hours: Monday- Friday: 6:30AM-5:00PM (Flexible scheduling as needed)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
• Proven experience as a Quality Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a machine shop setting.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management system
• Experience with CMM programming and operation is a plus.
