Rotating Shifts  / $18.00 per hour

 

A company is currently seeking a Sheeter Assistant to support the Sheeter Operator in their production facility. The Sheeter Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our sheeter machine by preparing and staging rolls for upcoming jobs, splicing rolls into the sheeter, performing quality checks, and assisting with maintenance tasks.

 

Sheeter Assistant Responsibilities:

• Identify the proper rolls for upcoming jobs and stage rolls into the sheeter.
• Splice rolls into the sheeter as needed.
• Remove damaged sections of rolls and calculate the amount of damaged material.
• Measure and confirm roll size matches roll ID, identify grades and caliper of paper rolls and sheets.
• Utilize Carton ERP (operating system) to physically locate rolls.
• Assist the Operator in performing preventative maintenance for the sheeter.
• Stage completed pallets for transportation.
• Place recycle scrap in the waste bin.
• Maintain areas using 5S tools to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety instructions at all times.
• Provide assistance in other departments as needed.

 

Sheeter Assistant Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with sheeter machines and paper handling processes is a plus.
• Ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to safety and following company policies and procedures.
