Salary: $27.00 / hour to $32.00 / hour

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to work at one of the largest CPA firms in the Greater New Orleans area.

Pay Range: $27.00 / hour to $32.00 / hour depending on experience

Schedule: Flexible with start time anywhere between 7AM to 9AM and end time between 4PM to 6PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly sales tax returns
• Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
• Post transactions into general ledger systems
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare customer invoices
• Prepare year-end tax returns – 1099s, W-2s
• Assist with monthly/year-end financial close
• Prepare monthly financial statements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in general bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank
  reconciliations
• College degree in accounting
• Public Accounting experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of practices and procedures related to processing and recording transactions and accounting information
• Working knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft tools
• Proficient in various accounting software packages, specifically QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with colleagues
