7:00am start with daily OT! / Mon - Fri

 

A growing luxury home furnishings company in East LA is looking for a Shipping Coordinator with a solid understanding of freight shipping systems. This company helps clients with receiving, warehousing, installation, and transportation solutions for their furnishings. The ideal candidate has prior experience in building strong relationships with a variety of freight companies to secure optimal pricing and ensuring timely deliveries for their valued clientele. Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coordinate customer shipping projects and serve as their primary liaison for all communication point of contact.
• Prepare projects quotes for customers and secure customer approvals.
• Identify and evaluate potential new freight companies (vendors) for the company to work with.
• Negotiate rates with various freight companies.
• Oversee the proper loading (placement and manifest) of items into trucks and containers.
• Regularly meet with the Shipping Manager to give updates on various projects.
• The Shipping Coordinator will lead all aspects of the day-to-day process.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years prior shipping experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite - Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships with freight companies.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of freight shipping systems - BOL, LTL, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual - Spanish and English.
