Responsibilities:

With work instructions and following extrusion run sheets, sets up, starts, and gets to tolerance for profile/flexible extrusions.
On profile/flexible extruded profiles, make adjustments to maintain quality and consistency in the extrusion process.
Understand and demonstrate the ability to read prints and measurements (critical dimensions) for profile/flexible extruded products.
With work instructions, identify proper materials to run production.
Have the work process under control during the shift, and have a smooth transition from one shift to another with good communication with the next operator on the following shift.
Notify the shift supervisor of any unsafe or unusual changes in the area or process.
Observes machine operations to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Resolve any process issues and machine malfunctions.
Measures work piece dimensions hourly to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, and clean/change filters.
Assists to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
Keeps work area neat, clean, and organized as instructed by the shift supervisor.
Be able to set-up all equipment (tooling and down-stream equipment) for the extrusion process.
Follow work instructions and following extrusion run sheets, sets up tooling and down-stream With equipment, starts, and gets to tolerance simple profile extrusions.

On simple extruded profiles, have the ability to make adjustments (heats, RPM, etc..) to maintain quality and consistency in the extrusion process.

Understand and demonstrate the ability to read prints and measurements (critical dimensions) for profile extruded products.

Notify the shift supervisor of any unsafe or unusual changes in the area or process. 18. Observes machine operations to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction, notifies shift supervisor on any part defects and/or equipment malfunctions.

Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, and clean/change filters.

Keeps work area neat, clean, and organized as instructed by the shift supervisor.

Identify what equipment is needed for the extrusion process (tooling and downstream equipment).
