Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:

• Learn and recognize all products, sell-by dates, and parameters produced in this facility
• Aseptically test end products, raw materials, various environmental tests, assurance tests for chemical concentrations
• Check on processing and finished products for appearance, flavor, proper packaging, lot numbers, and product counts. Verify accurateness of paperwork accompanying finished goods.
• Set up, operate, calibrate necessary laboratory equipment correctly and safely – equipment includes scales, pH meters, thermometers, Foss Milk Analyzer, moisture analyzer
• Comply with and help enforce company policies and procedures (GMP, HACCP, etc.) 
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment 
• Accept responsibility and supervisors'' directions 
• Communicate with fellow employees and supervisors regarding daily task schedule 
• Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements of the Lab Technician:

• Work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Read, interpret, analyze and problem-solve with attention to detail.
• Must be able to work well under direct supervision, but demonstrate problem solving abilities and initiative when necessary.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule depending on operational needs
• Work safely with hazardous plant equipment and tools.
• Previous science lab work required.
• Experience in food manufacturing, or agricultural product experience preferred
• This position is M-F, 10am-630pm
