Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

McAllen, TX 

M-F 8:30-5:30pm

$12-$14/hour DOE

 

Job Overview: The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our CPA firm. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and provides administrative support to our team of accountants and professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate individuals
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for staff and clients
  • Assist with client communications and follow-ups as needed
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure office coverage
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management
  • Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree is a plus
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant preferred
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professional demeanor and customer service-oriented attitude
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is a plus
  • Bilingual is a plus
