Rough Mill Lead-Night Shift

Job Description: Join a team as a Rough Mill Lead and play a crucial role in overseeing our night shift operations. As a key member of our team, you'll ensure the smooth workflow of production, maintain high standards of quality, and foster a culture of safety and teamwork.

Position Details:

• Compensation: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year (Based on Experience)
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm-2:00 pm
• Location: Freston, MN

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize workflow and materials for each shift to meet production schedules.
• Utilize the ACCESS database to track production progress and maintain accurate records.
• Train and supervise machine operators on the safe and efficient operation of rough mill machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control standards are met and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of machinery and report any breakdowns to the maintenance team.
• Enforce health and safety policies and procedures, including conducting safety audits and addressing concerns promptly.
• Facilitate clear communication between team members, management, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
• Lead employee evaluations and provide coaching and support to team members.
• Embody company values and promotes a supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 2-5 years of management or supervisory experience.
• 1-2 years of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift/move/push up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions:

• Workplace noise requires the use of hearing protection.
• Semi-climate-controlled environment.
• Use of foot protection (steel-toed shoes) and safety glasses required.
• The workplace may generate wood dust.
