Responsible for the installation, disassembly, and relocation of heavy equipment and machinery as per provided plans, blueprints, or drawings.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience; completion of vocational training or apprenticeship program is acceptable
• Licenses/Certifications: Possession of appropriate certifications and/or licensures

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to approved safety regulations at all times during work
• Utilize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) consistently
• Assemble and install equipment as required
• Dismantle machinery when necessary
• Provide clear signals or verbal directions to workers involved in hoisting and moving loads, ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Perform rigging tests to verify safety and reliability
• Choose appropriate gear, such as cables, pulleys, straps, and chains, based on load weights and sizes, facility specifications, and work schedules
• Securely attach moving parts and subassemblies to the basic assembly unit
• Operate machinery or equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate the movement of machines or mechanical parts
• Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper functioning of forklifts
• Securely attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for relocation, utilizing hand and power tools as needed
• Establish specified clearances between moving and stationary parts
• Align machines and equipment accurately
• Drill mounting holes as required
• Perform any additional duties as assigned or requested by supervisors
