Job Description: 

Express Employment is recruiting for Forklift Operators for multiple companies in the Fresno area. 

Pay: $17-18/hr

Schedule: M-F 8 am - 5 pm

• Operate the forklift to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.  
• Stack and store materials in designated areas according to organizational guidelines. 
• Perform inventory checks to verify quantities and quality of incoming and outgoing materials.  
• Inspect and maintain the forklift, including performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues.  
• Inspect and maintain the a-frames, bundle racks, and moving equipment by performing routine checks and reporting any operational issues.  
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).  
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing debris and keeping aisles clear.  
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as labeling and loading/unloading shipments.  
• Assist sales staff with moving slabs for customer viewings and inspections.  

Qualifications and Skills 

• Valid forklift operator certification/license. 
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment. 
• Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and ability to adhere to them.  
• Physical ability to safely pull and move heavy objects, lift up to 50 pounds.  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in stacking and organizing materials.  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as a team.  
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation purposes.  
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
