Accounting Clerk

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $25-$33 hour

An Edmonton client is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join their team.

Accounting Clerk Highlights:

·         Support integration of application system with financial system, transitioning from manual uploads to automated processes

·         Manage post-conversions to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

·         Handle Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes with meticulous attention to detail, including managing pre-payments, debits, and credits.

·         Assist in Accounts Payable (A/P) processing, managing cheques, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs), and wires on a bi-weekly basis.

·         Collaborate with an accountant on bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·         Take charge of credit card reconciliations, managing the process for 25 cards monthly.

·         Oversee employee expense reimbursements, ensuring timely and accurate processing

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

·         Previous experience in accounting or finance role preferred.

·         Proficiency in navigating various systems and applications, with a preference for experience with SAGE Intact.

·         Strong understanding of financial processes, including A/R, A/P, and bank reconciliations.

·         Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·         Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.

·         This position may require occasional overtime during month-end or year-end closing processes.
