Summary:
This job involves driving a truck to deliver and sell products or services. The duties include operating a lift truck to move inventory, rolling compressed gas cylinders onto delivery trucks, delivering welding and cutting supplies, collecting money from customers, writing customer orders, recording sales or delivery information, and resolving customer complaints.The successful candidate must have knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation rules and regulations. They should be able to accurately identify any compressed gas cylinder by color code and size and read and interpret gas part numbers. Additionally, they must be able to lift and move heavy objects, have a Commercial Drivers License with Hazardous Material endorsement, and pass all requirements of DOT physical and drug screen.The work environment involves exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
