This company is a refill and refurbishment distributor of 20lb propane tanks for grills. In this position the associate will rotate between indoor and outdoor positions throughout the day. in the Outdoor position there are two jobs called Palleting and Depalletizing. In Depalletizing the associate will be standing in front of stacked propane tanks on a 4 stacked skids approx. 6 ft high that have come in off the truck empty. The tanks will weigh approx. 16lbs each and they will use a utility knife to cut off sleeves, tags, stickers and debris and then load those tanks onto a conveyor belt going into the building at waist height. On the opposite side of the process, the refilled full tanks will be coming out on a conveyor at waist height weighing about 35lbs each and they will load those full tanks back onto a skid 4 pallets high/ 6ft high. There is a ton of repetition to both of these jobs and associates will move about 500 tanks/ hour. On the inside of the operation associates will be hanging tanks on a paint line that takes the part away into the paint booth and comes back around to be taken off the line.
Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday
