Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate will manage shipping and receiving for all incoming and outgoing shipments, and assist with customer fulfillment. Prepares orders for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

 

PAY/SALARY RATE: $18.00 p/h with Full-Time Benefits, medical/dental/vision.

 

Hours: Monday- Friday; 8:00a- 4:30p.

Essential Functions:

• Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
• Operates overhead crane, sit-down forklift or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
• Operates scanner for processing and inventory
• Operates the stretch wrap banders
• Receives goods, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

• MUST be able to lift a minimum of 80lbs or more.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Previous experience with a forklift and pallet-jack is PREFERRED.
