Quality Assurance Inspector 2nd Shift

Located in Tampa, FL

Salary: $28-$38 hr DOE

Leading Food manufacturer of Cuban frozen food products in Tampa is seeking an Quality Assurance Inspector – 2nd shift

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform room & cooler checks to ensure GMP compliance, acceptable environmental conditions & product quality.
• Perform quality assurance inspection tasks to include verifications & tracking of correct product ingredients, labels, lot #, code date, net weights, etc...
• Review quality records for completion, accuracy & adherence to internal specifications.
• Inspect all food product is following the FDA & USDA regulations including, but not limited to maintain cooking charts, yields, SSOP & HACCP.
• Verify Thermometer Accuracy, Maintenance Inspection, Oversees root cause investigations & collaborates on corrective & preventive actions.
• Maintains & accounts for product & raw material holds.
• Oversee plant pest control program & actively work with pest control provider.
• Provide necessary documentation or knowledge for internal & external audits.

 

Requirements:

• Familiarity with cGMP, quality assurance, release methods, auditing, & or risk assessment in USDA-regulated environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply formal regulations to product quality & processes.
• Previous experience working in a USDA-regulated industry is preferred.
• HACCP Certified strongly preferred.
• Previous experience ensuring the quality of products & or manufacturing/packaging processes.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to multi-task & set priorities within Quality Assurance

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for long periods. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to push, pull heavy trays.

 

05:45 PM – 3:00 AM, Monday to Friday

Pay starts: $18-$28 hr DOE (depending on experience)
