Machine Operator

Located in Rochester, NY

Salary: $17-20/hr

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for Machine Operators for a client in the Gates NY area!

 

As a machine operator you will be responsible for the safe operation of production machines doing repetitive operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must have a strong understanding of safe operation of metal working equipment, including but not limited to starting and stopping the machining
• Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions
• Perform a variety of inspection and gaging operations to ensure quality standards; must also record results of inspections
• Cleans machine, tooling, and parts as instructed
• Set up new part on various types of machines
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills; must be able to read & write in English
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Must possess vision requirements including: close vision, distance vision

 

This position is open to entry level & skilled machinists, pay BOE

Monday - Friday 6a - 4:30p with OT available
