Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with experience in machine shop or precision manufacturing environments to join our team as a CNC Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of machining fundamentals and demonstrate proficiency in operating CNC machines.

Responsibilities:

1. Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
2. Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, utilizing computer network links to input programming codes.
3. Monitor machine operations to ensure workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
4. Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
5. Perform regular maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure smooth operation.
6. Stop machines as needed to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, following safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
7. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
8. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tooling changes, and inspection results.
9. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement to stay abreast of advancements in machining technologies and techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments effectively.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and operation preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
