Experienced Staff Accountant Needed for High-End CPA Firm in Naples

 

Local CPA firm is in immediate need of a Staff Accountant to join their team. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant who will be responsible for assisting the senior accountants in managing financial records and transactions, preparing different tax reports, preparing financial reports, and performing general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and ideally some experience working with accounting software.

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update clients’ financial records and transactions using accounting software
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for clients
• Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with preparation of tax returns using CCH Axcess Wolters Kluwers products
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s or technical degree in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

 

 Pay: Depends on Experience

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
