Salary: $20/HR+
Upholstery Job Summary: A local furniture manufacture is looking for long term help as an Upholster Worker to help with assembling dorm room furniture such as bed frames, dressers, and cabinets
Upholstery Requirements:
- 3-5 years working in upholstery
- Reads work orders to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover work pieces.
- Pad, cover, trim and finish lounge furniture to specifications.
- Apply padding to provide proper support, texture and to maintain design contours
- Assist in various areas of the department – building wooden frames, gluing foam to frames, cutting fabric, and moving materials between workers.
- Complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow all safety and quality standards, including inspecting and reporting any deviations.
- Cross-train within related positions in production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Pay:
- 6:00am-4:00pm Monday – Thursday with over time often on Friday and occasionally Saturday
- $20.00/HR+ based on experience
Upholstery Qualifications:
- Able to stand for the entire shift and walk up and down stairs as required
- Must feel comfortable with hands-on work and power tool usage.
- Able to follow verbal or written work instructions
- Flexible to work in other areas to meet business needs
