Our client located in Englewood, NJ is seeking an Engine Lathe Operator for their aeronautical manufacturing company. The Engine Lathe Operator will perform facing, turning, chamfering, parting, and drilling on various steel parts. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity. The right candidate has the opportunity to contribute to a company whose precision products are manufactured throughout the world!  

Engine Lathe Operator Responsibilities

• Perform facing, turning, chamfering, parting, and drilling on steel materials
• Adjust controls and tool settings to maintain dimensions, according to specific tolerances
• Inspect workpieces using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices
• Maintain sharp cutting tools using bench or machine grinders to hone dull edges
• Crank machines through their cycles, monitoring and meeting specified clearances, timing, and tolerances
• Examine blueprints and turning prints to determine sequence of machine operations 

Engine Lathe Operator Requirements

• At least 2 years experience as Engine Lathe Operator
• Experienced using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Ability to read blueprints and turning prints

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm (Overtime availability when needed)

Pay: $25 - $30/hr.
