Rental/Leasing Consultant

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local company to search for a Rental/Leasing Consultant to join their team. This diverse role combines
sales, customer service, and marketing to lease apartment homes and build excellent relationships with prospective residents.

What You Will Do:

• Market available apartments on social media, assertively follow up on leads to offer showings, accept applications, process for approval, prepare lease agreement and documents, review, and conduct lease signing upon move-in.
• Work directly with residents to collect documents as required for Section 42 compliance, process annually for existing residents, and initially for new move ins.
• Complete 3rd party verifications, and submit all documentation to compliance for final approval.
• Handling the collection of rent payments, security deposits, and application fees.
• Conduct annual inspections of all units to ensure lease compliance, and be available for annual 3rd party inspection.
• Update Property management software, upload resident leases, vacancy status, etc.
• Keeping an eye on community amenities such as community, fitness, laundry rooms, and other common areas.
• Assist the Community Manager and the in-house real estate division as needed.
• General clerical assistance including, but not limited to, answering phones, taking messages, inputting work orders, filing, etc.

What You Need: 

• Experience in providing excellent customer experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and flexible
• Team player and contributor
• Able to prioritize
• Familiar with major MS Office platforms
• Able to learn new programs quickly
• Has a real estate license or is willing to obtain one within three months
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
