Job Overview:

Express is seeking a skilled commercial electrician who is able to do underground installations to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in installing conduits underground, hanging panels, digging trenches by hand, pulling wires, and setting adjacent equipment.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Proficiently install conduits underground, ensuring proper depth, alignment, and securing to prevent damage or disruption.
• Mount and wire electrical panels according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize manual digging tools to excavate trenches for laying conduits and cables, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety protocols.
• Execute wire pulling activities with precision, ensuring cables are correctly routed and secured within conduits and panels.
• Set adjacent electrical equipment such as transformers, meters, and switchgear, ensuring proper alignment and connection.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to underground electrical systems, conduits, and equipment as needed.
•  Adhere strictly to safety procedures and guidelines to mitigate risks associated with underground electrical work, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless coordination and completion of projects.

 

Requirements: 

• Experience in underground electrical installations, including conduit laying, panel hanging, and wire pulling.
• Proficiency in manual trenching techniques, conduit installation, and wire pulling methods. Familiarity with electrical equipment setting and troubleshooting.
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, and able to lift heavy
• Thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy in installation and wiring to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
