Job Description

 

As a Team Lead, you''ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient collection, movement, sorting, and processing of various wastes and by-products within our manufacturing environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

 

Pay: $20.75/hour

Schedule: 

• 1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM
• 2nd Shift: 2PM-10:30PM
• 3rd Shift: 10PM-6:30AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example in prioritizing Health & Safety as the top priority, ensuring team members adhere to established policies and procedures at all times.
• Supervise the safe loading and unloading of solid and liquid waste, as well as recyclables, in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Coordinate the use of handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and fork trucks to facilitate the transportation of materials within the facility and to/from trucks.
• Oversee the operation of equipment including balers, shredders, grinders, and pressure washers to ensure materials are processed safely and efficiently.
• Provide guidance to team members on sorting materials according to predefined guidelines for further processing.
• Assign and oversee routine cleanup and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Utilize your knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations to ensure the team operates in compliance with all relevant standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklifts and leadership experience are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize safety and enforce safety protocols within a team.
• Understanding of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations is a big plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Capacity to lift up to 60 pounds and wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential to effectively lead the team and fulfill the requirements of the role.
