Mason Helper

 

Duties

• Assist brick/block/stone masons by supplying materials or tools and maintaining a clean work area.
• Mix compounds, erect scaffolding, and cut materials as needed for installations.
• Prepare surfaces and arrange materials following drawings or sequences.
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to installation sites.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the work site.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in accurately reading a tape measure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in cement construction.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Capable of lifting and carrying materials weighing 50 - 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work in various physical positions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to handle tools and materials safely, with awareness of potential hazards.
• Willingness to wear protective gear and work overtime as needed.
