An established retailer in the Morgantown area is now seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As an AP Clerk, you will be responsible for compiling, classifying, verifying and maintaining payment data into accounts payable records. Working with the accounting department on a daily basis, this role requires strong customer service and data entry skills, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

This role offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule of 8:00am to 4:30pm with compensation of $18 hourly, based on experience.

 

Duties include:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests
• Sort, code and match invoices
• Set invoices up for payment
• Enter and upload invoices into system
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintain vendor files
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

Qualified Candidates Will Possess:

• At least one year of accounts payable or general accounting experience is strongly preferred
• A high level working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced work environment, ability to multi-task efficiently
• Organizing and prioritizing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
