Express Employment is currently seeking a motivated General Laborer to join our construction site cleanup team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to debris removal and site preparation. This position requires physical strength, stamina, and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and dispose of concrete rubble, rebar, and other construction debris from the worksite.
- Operate heavy equipment such as a breaker or jackhammer to demolish concrete structures or remove obstacles.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Assist with site preparation activities including digging, leveling, and clearing debris.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including concrete rubble and rebar, up to 50 pounds.
- Experience operating construction equipment such as a breaker or jackhammer preferred but not required (training will be provided).
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
