Large MVC Unit Assembler
Education and experience:
- High School or GED and 1-3 months related experience or training or equivalent of education and experience
- Mechanical experience
- Electrical assembly
- Hand tools - proficient
- Must be able to read and understand drawings in English and have basic math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as safety rules, operating policies and electrical and/or mechanical schematics
- Possess good hand dexterity.
- Must be willing to cross-train.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific visions abilities required by this job include close and color vision. May need three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distances and have the ability to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Less than 1/3 of the time may be required to climb or balance.
Experience using the following tools:
- Power and air tools
- Wire cutters (air)
- Crimpers (air)
- Heater
- Solder Iron
You will train and perform:
- Reads and interprets work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies and accurately completes same; receives and accurately completes verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jib, fixture or other holding devices.
- May crimp, stakes, screws, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit or performs similar operation to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components such as transformers, buss bar, plates, chassis panel into enclosures
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
- Assembles and attaches hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies
Monday- Friday 7 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Overtime available per production
$17.00-20.00 per hour BOE
